COVID - 19 Update
COVID - 19 (Coronavirus) Update.
I have spent the past few days wondering whether or not to make a statement about the current Coronavirus pandemic.
It is not my aim to instill fear or panic. But I do feel the need to address our current stance due to current media statements.
The situation is ever evolving and we are keeping up to date with what health officials, the government and the @who are advising. Currently WE REMAIN OPEN, but please read the following: Ultimately, we take the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and colleagues seriously. As a medical practice of allied health professionals we continue to strive to ensure cleanliness and minimal risk of cross contamination. This is done on a day to day basis, but we are taking extra measures to ensure yours and our staffs safety. Hand hygiene is the single most effective measure in preventing the spread of infection, including COVID-19. Please wash your hands regularly with soap and water, alcohol gel is recommended when you do not have access to wash your hands. Also to protect yourself further, refrain from touching your face with 'dirty' hands. • • As well as continuing our impeccably high standards of hand hygiene, we wanted to reassure you about the other measures that are in place but often go unseen. We are wiping down plinths, face holes, door handles, laptops and phones with anti-bacterial wipes in between every client. The use of medical gloves, aprons and masks may be used by your practitioner throughout your treatment (this is normal for most of our usual podiatry treatments!). . . As our existing clients know, we don’t have a large waiting room, and therefore you won’t be waiting for long periods of time, surrounded by others for appointments. We do request that upon entrance the the building, you use the rest room to wash your hands thoroughly. • • If you have a temperature or persistent cough, we will waiver our 24hr cancellation fee during this period of time, please just cancel your appointment & we can rearrange once you are fully recovered. Please be aware that if you arrive and you are unwell our team will not be able to treat you. • • We would also like to reach out to our ‘high risk’ clients to advise that should you require an appointment, but would prefer not to leave your home due to the risk of infection in public areas, please do not hesitate to get in touch as we will be happy to discuss the possibility of a home visit to you, to ensure your safety. . . If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you for your continued support of our small business,
Jessica and the team
